Mac has run into a new problem. There is a new virus that is attacking mac computers today. It is a virus that gives you a warning that says that you need more anti virus protection.  A fake anti virus company will charge you for services that do not exist. If you pay the money the virus will go away but whoever did this now has you credit card number. The fake software is called either Mac defender, Mac security or Mac protector. If you so much as click on anything on this software it leaves a virus in your computer that does not allow this fake program to be closed. Viruses that are very similar to this one have been plaguing windows for sometime now but this is the first time they have been seen on Macs. So, Mac users beware of such messages. Do Not Click on anything when you see these messages just simply restart you computer.

Organization

I am not the most organized person. Folders in my computer usually end up piling in one folder until i can't find anything. Once it gets to this point i usually end up deleting things to get them out of the way. On the computer that I just received I am becoming more organized because i don't want it to be a pain to find some of the folders that I use frequently. Most of the time I end up making important folders into icons on my desktop. Now I am more so organized because I have all my music and videos in their own files. The songs are in an album folder and the album folder is in an artist folder and so on.

The term Tagging refers to a non-hierarchical keyword or term assigned to a certain piece of information.

Social Bookmarking is a method for users to organize, store, manage and search for bookmarks of resources online. These files are not shared it is simply a reference to them.

These two terms are important to the digital age because they are both tools that help people stay organized. They allow a person to find whatever they want to find with little hassle.

As anyone with a Playstation3 knows Playstation Network has been down for more tha a full week now. Apparently somebody hacked into sony's programs and was able to mess with some features that are used through Playstation Network. The people who hacked Sony's programs are now threatening that they have obtained passwords and other important information from some PSN users. Sony offically released a warning to all PSN subscribers that states the present state of the online problems. People who may have been hacked are trying to sue Sony because it took them a full week to notify customers about this security breech. Playstation owners like me are very angry because this sort of thing shouldn't happen. But it did and there is nothing anyone(except Sony) can do about it now.

When you own an HD tv and an you are forced to use the built in speakers on your television the sound quality is not as good as it is supposed to be. Most people buy external speakers. They increase the sound quality exponentially! The only problem is that they can get pretty expensive. A sound bar is also an option. That is one speaker that does the work that 2 speakers would do but they are expensive too. Well, the new refurbished Vizio vbs200 HD sound bar is now only $69.99. It can produce a maximum of 60 watts worth of sound. This is not intended to rival a full on surround sound system but it vastly improves the quality of bad built in speakers. The only drawback of this excellent project is that it has only a month warranty but it usually either works out of the box or doesn't work at all.

Podcast

1) a podcast is a file that you download. After you download it you receive episodes of the podcast every time that a new episode is created. this acts as almost a television series that is released ever week or every day.

2)people create podcast to express what they are feeling, teach people what they know and it can even be created to give updates on something.

3)i have had no experiences with podcasts but i have heard about them and have thought about downloading one of them.

4)you need specific software. you need any fairly new PC or Mac, a USB microphone, such as the Blue Snowball, audio editing software with Audacity and a feed publishing and hosting with MyPodcast.com. that is all you need for a simple audio podcast.

5)i would create a podcast about football. i would create it about football because i know a lot about it and i enjoy talking about it. I would talk about all generations of football not just the current one because i know about many old and interesting players.

The Tom Tom XL 340 4.3 inch GPS can be purchased and delivered for only 89.25. This price is only available for people who apply for a coupon code online. You get free traffic and map updates quarterly. The updates are all free and you get free traffic data free as long as you own the GPS. The only thing that is unclear is weather the "optional RDS-TMC traffic receiver" is actually included with this version or must be purchased separately. the biggest selling point to this gadget is the lifetime free updates that come with the system. It seems that the actual device is nothing special but the lifetime of free updates pushes it past its competition.

Google has begun testing google music internally. This could be a sign that this much appreciated service should be coming soon. Some XDA developers claimed to have accidentally discovered google music after downloading Honeycomb version of the android operating system. This was indeed a working form of google music but adding the final version could be much different. Google music is a streaming service that users would access from web controlled devices. The actual launch is being held up because there is no music yet. Everything else is in working order. So we could look forward to streaming music from google soon.

There is now an apparent heir for the CEO of the PlayStation company. The current CEO,  Howard Stringer, a 69 year old renewed his contract and named the competent 50 year old Kazuo Hirai as "the leader of the race" to become his successor. He also stated that he will oversee the restructuring of the company for an unspecified period of time. He has stated that the convergence of networked entertainment and technology was the key to the consumer electronics industry. Not long after this announcement Hirai became the head of the networked products and service group. This led to him receiving a better chance to getting the job.

An auto corrected text message led to the death of Josef Witkowski. Niel Brook sent a text message that included the word mutter. This word was auto corrected to the word nutter which is a slang term for someone who is not mentally stable. Further texts were exchanged between the two men and it ended with Josef Witkowski going to Brook's house. When he arrived at Brook's house a knife fight took place and Josef Witkowski was killed. Brook stabbed him 104 times and was charged with murder at first but the charges were changed to manslaughter. if you ask me the auto corrected text was not at fault it was a crazy person who overreacted.

Some German researchers at The Fraunhofer Institute for Secure Information Technology found a way to steal the passwords on the apple I pod in under six minutes. They abuse weaknesses in the safari browser. They have only been able to steal passwords from people who purposely jail broke(jailbreak-illegally download software to manipulate the codes in the I pod that set the guidelines to what you can do so they can do whatever they want on it) their I pods. Apple commented by saying that apple software could only be manipulated if they had the device in hand. Those same German researchers are now saying that people who haven't jail broken their I pods aren't necessarily safe. It is just more difficult to get those passwords, but it can be done.
